Greetings from Port Royal United Methodist Church here in the beautiful town of Port Royal, SC.  We are a church that is “small enough to know you, but large enough to love you.”  We open our doors and hearts to all who will come and worship with us.  As we strive to grow in our relationship with our Lord, we invite you to join us.

Monthly musings of Pastor Ann Bridgers – September 2024

Welcome to the month of September!  Do you feel that the summer has literally flown by?  Fall will soon arrive, and we will surely welcome cooler days. 

            The fall is already shaping up to be very busy around the church.  At the District Set up Meeting a couple of weeks ago, the date for our church’s charge conference was scheduled.  It will be the first Sunday of November—the 3^rd—at 3:30 PM in our Sanctuary.  This date follows after our Fall BBQ and Yard Sale, which will be held on November 2^nd.  During September preparations will be underway to prepare for this big event. 

            Although Port Royal UMC is a small church, we are quite an active one.  It is because of you—our faithful members- who give of their time, their talents, their support, and their willingness to work hard to make our church what it is.  Thank you for being people with a heart of service for others and for one another. 

            Let me encourage you to come to our Bible Study on Wednesday evening from 5:30 to 6:30. This is a time to study God’s Word and seek His will for our lives.  We are reading Max Lucado’s GOD NEVER GIVES UP ON YOU, which is the story of Jacob.  Folks, it is a fascinating study!  That study will be followed later in the month by another of Max Lucado’s books HE CHOSE THE NAILS. A truly inspiring read and study.

            As we move into the fall of the year, won’t you make a commitment to come to join us here at PRUMC for worship and study and fellowship?  We are a church small enough to know you and large enough to love you.  All are welcome.  We look forward to seeing you very soon!
